Already the phone calls have increased since November 2010. There have been a lot more inquiries relating to my Abbotsford real estate listings but also sellers are just getting their tax assessments and as with every year a few (I usually do about 7 – 10) homeowners would like to challenge their tax assessed value by using my free home evaluation. December was traditionally calm, but I would say that would make it ‘active’ given the turmoil that the real estate industry has faced over the past couple of years. Whether related to the US collapse, our own pseudo-collapse, HST, lending rules etc… the past few years have been slow.
Today is a new day (and this is a new year) and 2011 has gotten off on the right foot. We are in a very balanced market right now and buyers and sellers can both get great deals. Price and location are still the large factors determining what is selling and what is not. If you are considering challenging your tax assessment or are thinking about selling, let me know right away and I would be happy to help. A great place to start is with my free online home evaluation.
If you are considering buying, let me help direct you to those fantastic deals. It could be an Abbotsford Foreclosures, a new home on Eagle Mountain or an investment property in Abbotsford. Whatever the case, I am here to help.
