He had previewed so many homes in the area that he knew exactly what we were looking for and where to find it (twice). We had a specific unit style in mind for condo living that included an open concept that was not necessarily renovated but not outdated either.
After surfing the MLS pages for some time we decided it was finally time to find a realtor, someone familiar with Langley and the Fraser Valley and was willing to find us the home that could accommodate our needs. After a few potential candidates that didn’t really understand that they were “needs” not “wants,” in terms of our search, we decided to settle with our gut feelings and chose Rod Friesen of Landmark Realty. Rod proved to be a very talented individual as he consistently found us potential condominiums that were in our specific area boundaries and accommodated our basic needs and requirements.
As the search for the condo continued, Rod suggested that we might actually benefit long term if we broadened our search to include Townhouses in the same area and he would locate some potential properties within the area. Rod came to us through his marketing into our townhome complex. He had sold another unit in our complex and was marketing that he had another couple who was also looking for a unit in our complex. When we decided it was time to sell, we met with Rod to get an evaluation. we had another agent friend at that time and listed with them at the time.We tried to sell with the other agent on 3 separate occasions with no luck. Twice the listing expired and the third time we cancelled the listing as the frustration of the market had gotten to us. We decided to rent our home out as we had purchased a home elsewhere and were often out of the country. When it came time to try to sell again we decided to work with Rod, and we are so glad we did.
